In 2014 I featured a series of blog posts introducing you to 2,014 names. For the most part they were names that were brand new to me as well. Some names may be more familiar but I found the meaning or origin or some other aspect of the name made it worthy of inclusion here. You may love some of the names, you may hate some, but hopefully you enjoy learning about all of them.

Butterfly Monogram?

Ever noticed how a butterfly with its wings spread resembles the letter W? I'm thinking of ways of incorporating that in my monogram or simply emphasizing that aspect of the butterfly as a motif on the napkin, or making it very subtle and something I have to point out. Here are a few that have inspired me:
So these aren't butterflies. But I got a few ideas from this. One would be to use the repeating flower design whose interwoven green lines could represent the w or maybe I just need a simple repeating design with W strategically placed in the line of the design or a small w stitched next to a pretty design, like the basket of flowers. We shall see.
