In 2014 I featured a series of blog posts introducing you to 2,014 names. For the most part they were names that were brand new to me as well. Some names may be more familiar but I found the meaning or origin or some other aspect of the name made it worthy of inclusion here. You may love some of the names, you may hate some, but hopefully you enjoy learning about all of them.

S'more Names

GIRLS

Ahava - Hebrew, meaning "love".

Belisent - according to britishbabynames.com this comes from the Germanic name Belisendis, which comes from "bili" meaning anything from "suitable" or "proper" to "amiable" and either "sind" meaning "road" or "path" or else "swind" meaning "powerful" or "strong" or "brave". This conjures up very diffferent images, such as "proper road" or "amiable path" or "suitable and strong" or "amiable and brave". britishbabynames.com also mentions some fun variants of Belisent, such as Belisenda and Belsante.
